Living in Hyperreality
Poster set and Identity for an exhibition in Bath, Somerset.
The design attempts to play with the balance of the organic and the synthetic. The 3D subjects are formed through a series of photographs to achieve photo realistic models and textures, which are then contrasted with the synthetic metallic moving objects intersecting them.
"Hyperreality is the semantically postmodern condition of being unable to distinguish reality from the simulation of it. Living in hyperreality now, is as natural as living in the real; the disassociating effects of the digital are felt more than any other generation that came before. The merging of learned and imagined mythologies collide with indistinct spaces, virtual human relations and a cacophony of fake-news and non-truths.
